Phonemic Awareness: Phonemic Awareness is the ability to recognize that a spoken word is composed of a sequence of individual sounds (phonemes).
Word analysis skills: Word analysis skills include the ability to distinguish real words and nonsense words, identifying words that rhyme, distinguishing between words that look similar, identify vowel and consonant sounds and blends, and the ability to determine the meaning of unfamiliar words based on prefixes, suffixes, and roots.
Standard English Conventions: A term that refers to English punctuation, grammar, usage, and spelling.
Figurative Language: A term that refers to similes, metaphors, personification, hyperbole and other writing crafts.

Demonstrates Responsibility Using Technology: Treating technology with respect and follows the acceptable use requirements when working online or with software programs.
Four Operations: The four operations include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Analyzes Patterns and Relationships: The ability to investigate the patterns that they find in numbers, shapes, and expressions, and, by doing so, to make mathematical discoveries and solve problems.
Reason With Shapes and Their Attributes: Understands shapes in different categories (e.g. rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g. having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals).
Geometric Measurement: Recognizes Perimeter-Place Figure Attribute and Distinguishes Linear/Area Measure: Solves real-world and mathematical problems involving perimeter of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length.
